Pet Parade

June 18

If happiness is a warm puppy, the St. Johnsbury Pet Parade is a joyful celebration!

This parade features friends with fur, feathers, paws, and snouts — all marching down our historic Main Street. Come for the costumes or just to smile with the proud participants.

“The St. Johnsbury Pet Parade helps to raise awareness of what pets bring to our lives — how important they are,” says Amanda McDermott, a member of the St. Johnsbury Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She works at the Dog Mountain, home of the Stephen Huneck Gallery, and knows first-hand about the strong bond between pets and their people.

All breeds are welcome in Stephen Huneck’s Dog Chapel at Dog Mountain in St. Johnsbury. Here you’ll find thousands of tributes to pets written by their people to keep their loving memory alive.

Many pets need good homes, and the St. Johnsbury Pet Parade is a way to highlight those animals that are looking for their “forever” family. Can you bring one into your home?
